Hybrid two weeks onsite a month (50% remote, 50% on site) in Salt Lake City, UT

We are hiring for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (5+ years of experience) to join a client team in Salt Lake City.

The role involves building high-quality, testable, and maintainable solutions across Angular front end and either Node/Nest/Express middleware, operating within agile practices. The team is seeking someone with a strong degree of professionalism, strong communication skills, and someone comfortable with extreme ownership. This hire will design and deliver scalable cloud-aware services, collaborate very closely with product management, and support new development and existing legacy front end (Angular/VueJS) systems. You will mentor junior engineers and contribute to architecture and best practices as needed, but own your own code, including any work needed with CICD, Testing, API, end point, and ESPECIALLY work with TypeScript/Angular

Rate: $63.00 to $68.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Participate and contribute to all phases of development from conception to deployment within an agile team including a high degree of autonomy and ownership for code bases within the development team as you partner with product management to refine requirements, decompose epics into user stories, and deliver solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
  • Build scalable, resilient, cloud-based systems aligned with long-term strategy and support both new development as well as systems in production (Angular/VueJS) as needed including any hours needed to support business units outside of the standard work hours (9am-5pm)
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of full stack software solutions, guide and coach junior developers on standards, engineering protocols, and craft.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of full-stack development experience with strong abilities with TypeScript as well as core JavaScript (HTML/CSS)
  • 3+ years of experience with Angular including backend work with NPM packaging and other associated technologies
  • 2+ years of experience building REST APIs and/or working with Express, Nest, or Node.js.
  • Experience building, deploying, and operating applications in cloud environments such as AWS Serverless, EKS, KMS, Step Functions, Lambda, S3, and Kubernetes (or equivalent other hybrid/public platforms such as Azure/Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with automation including Jenkins pipelines, automated regression testing, and continuous integration/deployment, smoke testing, regression, integration, and troubleshooting as needed for things which need re-configuration or have errors/failures (I.E. container orchestration, issues in UI layer, API, or cloud lambdas/RCA issues)
  • Nice to have: experience mentoring or guiding junior engineers or exposure to Vue.js or other front-end frameworks (preferred).

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
