Job Description/ Responsibilities:
* 8+ year experience in managing Mainframe Storage Systems which includes both Tape and DASD systems
* Extensive experience of Mainframe Storage which includes work experience with DASD and VTS/Grid – IBM (DS8k’s, TS7k’s),
* Tape management systems – IBM RRM, OAM
* Virtual tape solutions and management
* Global Mirror with Practice, Global Copy, FDR Software, ACS Routines
* Manage the replication using tools like CSM, DSCLI.
* IBM Utilities such as IDCAMS, ISMF, Dcollect
* Support Disaster Recovery within Mainframe environment
* Administer DFSMS (ACS routines, storage groups/classes), DFSMShsm (HSM policies, space management, migration/recall), and Catalog/ICF management (IDCAMS).
* Partner with backup/recovery teams on policy, FlashCopy/Snap, DR readiness, and test execution.
* Handle any hardware/software related MLC and code load update on both Tape and DASD systems.
* Perform Data Recovery for Tape and DASD
* Effectively collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, DRaaS Coordinators, clients, and vendors, while regularly updating managers on Drill status
* Provide training, technical guidance, and mentoring to junior team members.
* Demonstrate strong communication, documentation, coordination, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
