Title: Mainframe Storage Admin
Location: Remote
Job Description:
8+ year experience in managing Mainframe Storage Systems which includes both Tape and DASD systems
Extensive experience of Mainframe Storage which includes work experience with DASD and VTS/Grid IBM (DS8k's, TS7k's),
Tape management systems IBM RRM, OAM
Virtual tape solutions and management
Global Mirror with Practice, Global Copy, FDR Software, ACS Routines
Manage the replication using tools like CSM, DSCLI.
IBM Utilities such as IDCAMS, ISMF, Dcollect
Support Disaster Recovery within Mainframe environment
Administer DFSMS (ACS routines, storage groups/classes), DFSMShsm (HSM policies, space management, migration/recall), and Catalog/ICF management (IDCAMS).
Partner with backup/recovery teams on policy, FlashCopy/Snap, DR readiness, and test execution.
Handle any hardware/software related MLC and code load update on both Tape and DASD systems.
Perform Data Recovery for Tape and DASD
Effectively collaborate with cross-functional technical teams, DRaaS Coordinators, clients, and vendors, while regularly updating managers on Drill status
Provide training, technical guidance, and mentoring to junior team members.
Demonstrate strong communication, documentation, coordination, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team.
