Description

We are seeking passionate and talented professionals to join our team in delivering cutting-edge cybersecurity, IT operations, and risk management services. This exciting opportunity allows you to work alongside industry leaders, leveraging advanced technologies to support the FDIC's mission of maintaining public confidence in the financial system.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Daily management of and maintenance for enterprise storage solutions

  • Lead the design, deployment, and operations of storage systems, including SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and software-defined storage solutions.

  • Design and implement disaster recovery plans in collaboration with IT leadership to meet organizational goals and standards for data protection.

  • Perform capacity planning and testing of disaster recovery scenarios, ensuring continuity during unplanned outages or emergencies.

  • Lead storage/backup lifecycle management projects, including upgrades, expansions, migrations, and decommissioning of legacy systems.

  • Ensure storage and backup systems adhere to organizational policies and compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOX, GDPR, or other relevant regulations.

  • Develop and maintain enterprise backup strategies, ensuring compliance with data retention, regulatory, and recovery policies.

  • Encrypt sensitive data at rest and in transit and enforce robust access control mechanisms to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Regularly update and apply security patches to storage and backup systems to mitigate vulnerabilities.

  • Optimize storage utilization, performance, and capacity planning while minimizing costs.

  • Monitor storage and backup infrastructure performance using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or vendor-specific platforms.

  • Provide technical guidance on storage and backup architecture, troubleshooting, and optimization efforts.


Qualifications

Eduction and Experience:
  • Bachelors and 9 or more years of related experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing enterprise-grade storage and backup systems.
  • Experience optimizing enterprise storage for virtualized environments or cloud workloads.

  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud storage solutions and container-based storage solutions.

  • Expertise in designing and deploying disaster recovery strategies for on-premises and cloud-based environments.

  • Hands-on experience with enterprise backup solutions


Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Dell EMC Proven Professional certification

  • Ability to obtain and maintain an FDIC Public Trust

  • Ability to successfully pass the SAIC Background investigation to establish a start date


Desired:
  • Experience with advanced data deduplication, compression, and replication technologies to maximize storage and backup efficiency.

  • NetApp Certified Data Administrator (NCDA) or Certified Storage Networking Expert (CSNE) or similar certifications.
