Summary

Python Developer – Cloud & Platform Modernization – Remote (Occasional Commute)

We are looking for a strong Python Developer with a background in cloud engineering and platform modernization. This role focuses on building scalable, production-grade automation and services to modernize and streamline cloud infrastructure — not on QA automation or basic scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop robust Python-based applications and services to support platform modernization initiatives
• Build and enhance automation for cloud infrastructure, provisioning, and platform workflows
• Work closely with DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and efficiency
• Contribute to Infrastructure as Code implementations using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application deployments
• Optimize existing systems and automation for performance, reliability, and maintainability
• Help define and implement best practices for cloud architecture, security, and platform engineering

Required Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of hands-on Python development experience (strong coding background required, not just scripting)
• Solid experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
• Strong understanding of platform engineering, infrastructure automation, and system design
• Experience working with DevOps/SRE teams in cloud-native environments
• Good understanding of Linux systems, networking, and distributed systems

Nice to Have:

• Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience building internal developer platforms or platform tooling
• Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments

Location – Remote (US-based)

Duration – 12 Months
