We have an immediate need for a QA Automation Engineer for an onsite opportunity in Sunnyvale, CA. This role is focused on backend middleware validation, API automation, and enterprise application testing for large-scale Java-based systems. We are looking for strong QA professionals who can contribute to automation initiatives, improve test coverage, and support high-quality application delivery in a fast-paced agile environment.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test frameworks for API and service layer validation using Core Java technologies. The role requires hands-on experience with API automation, backend testing, and continuous integration processes. Candidates will work extensively on REST and SOAP service testing while validating XML and JSON payloads across distributed systems. The selected professional should have strong understanding of automation best practices, test execution strategies, defect tracking, and CI/CD integration using Jenkins. Experience working with Java-based applications and scalable automation frameworks is highly preferred.
Required skill sets include strong expertise in Core Java concepts such as OOPS, Collections Framework, Threads, and Exception Handling along with hands-on experience in API Automation and TypeScript. Candidates should possess experience in Service/API testing using frameworks like Rest Assured for Java applications. Strong knowledge of JUnits, TestNG, SOAP, REST, XML, JSON, and Jenkins is expected. Ability to write optimized and reusable automation code using Core Java concepts and Rest Assured framework is mandatory. Good communication and collaboration skills are highly preferred for this role.
