We have an immediate opportunity for a Voice Platform Engineer with strong expertise in C++ and SIP-based voice technologies to support and enhance enterprise VoIP and telecom platforms in a high-availability production environment. This is an onsite role based out of Austin, TX or Sunnyvale, CA, requiring hands-on experience with FreeSWITCH or Kamailio along with deep understanding of voice signaling and media protocols.
The ideal candidate should have 7+ years of overall IT experience with at least 4 5 years of strong hands-on experience in SIP and C++ development. The engineer will be responsible for managing voice infrastructure, troubleshooting SIP/RTP signaling and call quality issues, configuring dial plans and call routing, and supporting production voice systems. Candidates should have strong debugging and performance optimization skills in C++ and experience integrating telecom or voice applications with backend systems and APIs.
The role requires solid Linux administration knowledge, shell scripting experience, and familiarity with monitoring and troubleshooting tools in enterprise environments. Experience working directly with customer teams in onsite delivery models, handling production incidents, and ensuring platform stability and scalability will be highly preferred. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across distributed engineering and operations teams are essential for success in this position.
