What You'll Do:

As a Process Engineering Intern, you will support the process engineering team in analyzing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. You'll gain hands-on experience working directly with production teams, learning how to evaluate processes, identify bottlenecks, and implement practical solutions in a real-world manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will assist with data collection and analysis, process documentation, and workflow mapping. You will participate in process improvement projects, including identifying opportunities to reduce waste, improve throughput, and enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, you will support problem-solving initiatives, research best practices, and help implement solutions that have a direct impact on day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Throughout the internship, you will develop skills in process optimization, data analysis, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration, while contributing to projects that improve performance, quality, and efficiency within the manufacturing environment.

What You'll Need:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and workflow optimization
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Entering Junior or Senior year

Compensation:
  • $22-$27 per hour, commensurate with relevant experience and educational background

Work Hours/Length of Program:
  • The internship will run for 12 weeks from May to August
  • Temporary Part/Full Time, targeting 40 hours per week
  • Exact start and end dates are flexible based on school schedules and the needs of the business
  • This is a paid internship

Working Conditions and Physical Demands:

This position is based in our manufacturing facility and involves general exposure to a manufacturing environment. Employees are required to follow safety guidelines and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) when onsite.
  • Regular walking, standing, and some sitting for extended periods
  • May involve stooping, kneeling, or crouching
  • May involve lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate and work safely around manufacturing equipment
  • Successful completion of a drug screening and a physical exam are required for this role
