Engineer in Training II - Field Services for Modjeski and Masters, Inc. to work at our Edwardsville, IL loc. May telecommute up to 3 days/week. Review & interpret bridge plans, specs, & technical reports to assist inspection & construction teams, identifying discrepancies & contributing to accurate assessments under supervision. Conduct basic inspections of bridge construction & rel infrastructure to verify compliance w/ design docs & report findings to supervising engineers. Interpret drawings & specs to ensure compliance w/ regs governing construction. Prep concise summary reports detailing inspection findings, site conditions, contractor activities, & meeting outcomes, formatted for review by project managers & clients. Coordinate & produce project documentation incl technical reports, memos, & correspondence for internal & external stakeholders, ensuring consistency, clarity, & alignment w/ project standards & communication protocols. Review & check standard structural design calcs. Perform structural evaluations using multiple software platforms, interpret results, & contribute insights to engineering discussions, ensuring findings are clearly communicated to project managers & technical leads. Develop preliminary details using CAD software, & provide info to CAD technicians for development of contract plans directly related to design work. Perform & check quantity takeoffs from contract plans. Work conditions can involve climbing on high bridge structures & working from aerial access equipment/working from walkways/platforms at high elevation. May undergo background checks incl drug screen; MV Record check; security Bfor e-RAILSAFE and TWIC. Limited national travel (up to 1-2 days per week; 25-49% of time) to field inspections & trainings. In a single trip, travel typically 5-10 days but can extend to more than 10 days. Wage: $85,904 to $95,000. Modjeski and Masters, Inc. provides a comprehensive benefits package (see at ;/strong>).
