About the Role

SQN Systems is seeking a Lead Tester to build and run QA strategy for multiple large IT modernization initiatives supporting a public sector health client. You will lead testing across multi-tiered systems and data pipelines and report on quality to project leadership.

Responsibilities

•      Develop and implement risk-based QA strategies, test plans and test suites for large-scale enterprise data systems, health interfaces and case management platforms

•      Lead and execute functional, integration, regression, performance and security testing across multi-tiered application environments and data pipelines (e.g., EHR interfaces, IIS registries)

•      Establish defect tracking, perform root cause analysis on systemic failures and coordinate with engineering teams on resolution

•      Partner with business analysts, program stakeholders and end users to define UAT criteria and build realistic test scenarios

•      Define, track and report quality metrics (code coverage, defect density, pass/fail rates) to project leadership

•      Verify compliance with security standards, federal funding requirements and data governance and privacy regulations

Required Qualifications

•      8+ years of information systems quality assurance experience

•      5+ years of experience working with statistical methods and quality standards

•      Working QA and process knowledge

•      Superior written and verbal communication skills

Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

•      Experience leading QA, test strategy and defect management in a state government setting or a Major IT Development Project (MITDP)

•      Experience defining test plans and validating data integrity for health systems, immunization registries (IIS) and EHR data interfaces

•      End-to-end test scenarios, automated testing strategy and UAT for enterprise case management or CRM platforms in healthcare or social services

•      Experience designing QA metrics, root cause analysis frameworks and compliance validation aligned with federal funding requirements and state data regulations

Work Authorization

Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and be able to work as a W2 employee or direct consultant of SQN Systems. Sponsorship is not available. Third-party or multi-tier subcontracting arrangements are not accepted.
