Summary

Position: Teradata Developer/ Lead
Location: Pleasanton, CA (Onsite)
 
12+ years of professional experience with proven leadership capabilities and hands-on coding expertise in [technology/area.
  • Design and develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and macros in Teradata.
  • Implement ETL workflows using tools like Informatica, BTEQ, or Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT).
  • Optimise queries and manage performance tuning for large-scale data environments.
  • Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance and security standards.
 
Required Skills & Qualifications-
  • Strong experience in Teradata SQL, joins, indexes, and explain plans.
  • Hands-on experience with Teradata utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, TPT, BTEQ).
  • Knowledge of ETL tools (Informatica, DataStage, or similar).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and BI tools.
  • Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimisation.
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux scripting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
