Hiring: Control & Safety Systems Engineer
Location: Kitimat, BC, Canada (Only candidates in Canada)
Contract
We are looking for an experienced Control & Safety Systems Engineer / Field Service Engineer to support industrial automation and process control operations in a plant environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance DCS, SIS, and SCADA systems
Perform hardware/software upgrades and system modifications
Support control strategies, HMI, logic changes, and system expansions
Diagnose and repair process control instrumentation
Troubleshoot industrial control networks, switches, and firewalls
Conduct operational testing and commissioning activities
Prepare service reports, documentation, and technical updates
Support small projects, migrations, and field engineering activities
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customer teams
Follow engineering, ISO, and safety procedures
Required Skills:
6 8+ years of experience in Process Control / Industrial Automation
Strong experience with Control & Safety Systems
Knowledge of DCS, SIS, SCADA, PLC, HMI, and Industrial Networks
Experience troubleshooting control systems and instrumentation
Understanding of switches, firewalls, and control network architecture
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
Bachelor s or Master s degree in Engineering or related discipline
Preferred Experience:
Field Service Engineering
Process industries such as Oil & Gas, Chemical, Energy, or Manufacturing
System migrations and control system upgrades
