Position Overview

CLIENT is seeking a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise IT infrastructure solutions in an on-premises environment. This role is responsible for designing scalable, resilient infrastructure aligned with client’s architectural standards and operational procedures.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in compute, storage, virtualization, and networking, along with hands-on experience in infrastructure automation and lifecycle management. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support complex application environments and ensure high availability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities

Core Duties

• Architect, design, and implement IT infrastructure solutions (compute, storage, and networking).
• Develop and maintain infrastructure platforms aligned with enterprise architecture principles.
• Perform system integration, capacity planning, and performance monitoring.
• Design and execute proof-of-concepts (POCs) to validate architecture and non-functional requirements.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and operational processes.
• Collaborate with Development, Operations, Security, and Compliance teams.
• Support and maintain complex enterprise applications within client environments.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to operational teams.

Additional Responsibilities

• Conduct end-to-end testing, including non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, reliability).
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure design and implementation issues.
• Research and recommend new technologies, tools, and best practices.
• Contribute to infrastructure strategy, roadmaps, and modernization initiatives.
• Communicate technical concepts and team objectives effectively to stakeholders.
• Provide advisory support to leadership for technology decisions.

Required Experience

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure architecture and engineering.
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end infrastructure solutions across the full lifecycle:
• Design
• Implementation
• Operational transition
• Maintenance and decommissioning

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience with On-Prem / Private Cloud Infrastructure (converged & hyperconverged systems).
• Deep expertise in VMware ecosystem, including:
• vSphere
• NSX
• vRealize
• Advanced knowledge of storage technologies:
• VxBlock, VxRail, NetApp, vSAN
• Strong networking experience with Cisco technologies.
• Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience with middleware technologies (web servers, application servers, databases).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker).
• Familiarity with Public Cloud (Azure IaaS).
• Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools:
• Ansible
• Terraform
• Basic scripting and development knowledge.
• Experience with:
• Data transformation initiatives
• Infrastructure strategy & roadmap planning
• Data center modernization / refresh projects

 Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (required),
  OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
