Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced SaaS Project Manager SaaS Upgrades to lead the end-to-end delivery of complex enterprise SaaS upgrade projects across a portfolio of clients. The Project Manager will have full ownership of project milestones, deliverables, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies while leading cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, QA, infrastructure, and client stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of accountability for client engagements, overseeing project planning, governance, execution, and communication throughout the SaaS upgrade lifecycle. This role requires strong client-facing project management experience, stakeholder leadership, financial management, and the ability to successfully deliver multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage the end-to-end delivery of SaaS upgrade projects, ensuring adherence to defined milestones, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.
Establish and maintain detailed project plans covering scope, schedules, resource allocation, dependencies, and risk mitigation strategies.
Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, QA, Infrastructure, and client stakeholder groups.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure clear, consistent, and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Drive project governance activities, including status reporting, steering committee updates, escalation frameworks, and timely decision-making.
Manage stakeholder expectations related to project scope, schedules, delivery outcomes, and technical dependencies.
Identify, track, and proactively manage project risks, issues, and dependencies to ensure timely resolution and mitigation.
Act as the first level of escalation for project-related issues and coordinate resolution across internal teams and client stakeholders.
Oversee resource planning, allocation, and utilization across multiple concurrent projects.
Ensure adherence to the Charles River Upgrade Methodology and drive continuous improvements based on project delivery experience.
Coordinate with technical leads and delivery teams to ensure readiness for critical milestones, including testing, validation, and go-live.
Monitor and control project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance management.
Drive high-quality delivery standards and ensure projects meet client expectations and internal quality benchmarks.
Facilitate lessons-learned sessions and promote the reuse of best practices, standard project plans, and delivery artifacts.
Contribute to the development and scaling of SaaS delivery practices, tools, processes, and methodologies.
Leverage collaboration tools such as SharePoint and internal platforms to improve project transparency, knowledge sharing, and execution efficiency.
Required Skills:
6+ years of Project Management experience delivering enterprise or SaaS-based solutions.
Strong experience managing complex enterprise SaaS implementations and SaaS upgrade projects.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple concurrent projects.
Strong understanding of Project Management Methodologies, Governance Frameworks, and Delivery Lifecycle Management.
Hands-on experience managing project scope, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
Ability to influence and communicate effectively with business, technical, and executive stakeholders.
Experience with project governance, status reporting, steering updates, and escalation management.
Strong experience in project financial management, including budget tracking, forecasting, and variance management.
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, client-facing delivery environment.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making capabilities.
High level of ownership, accountability, and attention to detail.
Experience using collaboration and project delivery tools, including SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience within Financial Services, Investment Management, or Trading Systems.
Experience leading implementations of Front Office, Middle Office, or Back Office Investment Management Systems.
PMP or PRINCE2 Certification preferred.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Experience with structured SaaS upgrade methodologies and enterprise delivery frameworks.
