We are seeking a Project Manager to join a high-impact team supporting enterprise technology and business transformation initiatives for a leading wealth management client. In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of complex projects across cross-functional teams, ensuring delivery is aligned to business objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality expectations. You will serve as a central point of coordination across business, technology, operations, and leadership stakeholders while managing risks, dependencies, and day-to-day execution. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in driving delivery across complex enterprise programs.
As an IT Project Manager Contractor, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects. Develop project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. Coordinate meetings and ensure stakeholder alignment. Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies. Monitor progress and provide regular status updates. Ensure timely, within-scope, and budget-compliant project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, and delivery across business and technology workstreams
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, and status reporting
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on scope, priorities, deliverables, and deadlines
• Manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, and drive timely resolution and escalation when needed
• Track progress against project goals, budgets, and resource plans, and communicate variances clearly to stakeholders
• Facilitate governance meetings, working sessions, status reviews, and decision-making forums
• Partner with business, product, technology, and operations teams to ensure requirements, deliverables, and handoffs are well coordinated
• Support change management, implementation readiness, and stakeholder communications throughout the project lifecycle
• Ensure project documentation, action logs, RAID logs, and reporting artifacts are current and accurate
• Promote delivery discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement across the project team
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Operations, or related field
• 6+ years of experience in project management, program coordination, delivery management, or related roles
• Experience leading complex cross-functional projects in enterprise environments
• Strong knowledge of project planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and stakeholder governance
• Experience working with both business and technology teams to drive execution
• Strong communication, organization, and issue-resolution skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced and evolving environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in wealth management, financial services, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery models
• Experience with project financials, resource planning, and executive status reporting
• Exposure to enterprise platform, digital, operations, or transformation programs
• Experience in consulting or professional services environments
