Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced AS400
Developer with Synon to support application development and maintenance on
IBM i (AS/400) systems. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in
RPG programming, Synon/COOL 2E development, and IBM i SQL, along with
experience working in a leadership or senior developer role.
Required Skills:
Minimum 7+ years of experience in
AS/400 (IBM i) application development
Strong experience in RPG, RPGLE, and CL
programming
At least 5+ years of experience with
Synon 2E (COOL 2E)
Experience working with IBM i SQL / DB2
Experience in code analysis and change
management tools such as X-Analysis, ALDON, and Hawkeye
Experience working in leadership /
senior developer role
Strong understanding of Software
Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
Experience in production support,
enhancements, and new development
Preferred Skills:
Experience with RxClaim or PBM (Pharmacy Benefit Management) systems
Experience handling medium to large scale projects
Strong problem-solving and analytical
skills
Good communication and coordination skills
Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and enhance AS400 applications
Work on RPG, RPGLE, CL, and Synon applications
Write and optimize SQL queries on IBM i DB2
Perform impact analysis using X-Analysis and Hawkeye
Manage code deployments using ALDON Lead development tasks and support team
members
Troubleshoot production issues and provide solutions
Participate in design, development, testing, and deployment
