Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Medicaid Enrollment Specialist to support the Medicaid Enrollment Unit. This role is responsible for enrolling IV-E eligible children into Medicaid and ensuring accurate processing and reporting within state systems.
The ideal candidate will have prior Medicaid experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Review daily Medicaid Enrollment Reports and process appropriate Medicaid categories for wards across all 92 counties.
Identify correct Medicaid eligibility categories for wards and take corrective action when needed.
Submit transmittal forms to DFR for processing.
Request Medicaid cards for eligible wards.
Ensure children are properly coded as wards, MEU is listed as Authorized Representative, and coverage timelines are accurate.
Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma (Required)
Experience working with Medicaid in any capacity
Ability to adapt quickly to changes
Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
Ability to meet established deadlines
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Federal IV-E Foster Care, Adoption, and Medicaid programs
Working knowledge of MaGIK, KidTraks, and IEDSS systems
