Pay Rate: $69Top Requirements:5+ years of Software Engineering experience (or equivalent through consulting, military, training, or education).Strong experience designing and developing ETL/ELT workflows and data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing.Proficiency with Apache Airflow, including designing and orchestrating complex DAGs.Plusses:Experience with Delta Lake, metadata management, and integration with Google Dataplex for governance and data quality.Familiarity with cloud technologies and open-source data frameworks.Job Summary:In this contingent assignment, the resource will consult on complex, large-scale Software Engineering initiatives. The role involves evaluating multi-faceted engineering challenges requiring deep analysis of technical, architectural, and compliance factors. The engineer will collaborate strategically with internal client teams, contribute to solution planning, and ensure alignment with target-state architectures and organizational standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Design and develop ETL/ELT workflows and scalable data pipelines for batch and real-time use cases.
- Build and maintain pipelines supporting reporting and downstream applications using open-source and cloud technologies.
- Implement operational and analytical data stores using Delta Lake and modern database principles.
- Optimize large-scale data structures for high performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with architects and engineering teams to ensure adherence to target-state architecture.
- Apply best practices for data governance, lineage, and metadata management, including integration with Google Dataplex.
- Develop, schedule, and orchestrate workflows using Apache Airflow, with strong ownership of DAG design and maintenance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues to ensure high availability, reliability, and operational excellence.
