Main Sail is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in software development.
Overview
This individual will lead complex, cross-functional initiatives across custom development, SaaS applications, and cloud-based solutions. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, hands-on leader who can drive execution, manage detailed budgets, and adapt to evolving business needs.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects, including eCommerce initiatives.
· Manage both custom in-house development and SaaS-based solutions across cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred, Oracle exposure a plus) and on-prem environments.
· Drive sprint planning and execution as needed (no formal Scrum Master role required but must be comfortable operating in Agile environments).
· Oversee complex budgeting activities, including purchase orders, invoices, CapEx vs. OpEx tracking, and plan vs. budget vs. actuals analysis.
o Maintain detailed financial oversight using Excel and related reporting tools.
· Partner closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams and leadership to ensure alignment and delivery success.
· Foster a highly collaborative team environment - stepping beyond strict role definitions to ensure overall team success.
Required Qualifications
· 7 - 8+ years of Project management experience (senior-level ownership of large initiatives).
· Strong background in software development project management (not infrastructure-focused).
· Retail industry experience is strongly preferred.
· Demonstrated experience managing eCommerce-related projects.
· Proven expertise managing project budgets, financial tracking, and forecasting.
· Experience working in Agile environments and running sprint ceremonies when needed.
· Advanced Excel skills for financial and budget tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP Certification is strongly preferred.
· Agile certification is a plus.
· Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or Oracle Cloud environments
