Summary

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kernel Configuration & Optimization: Customize and harden Linux/RTOS kernels for specific hardware targets.
  • You’ll manage device trees, memory maps, and bootloaders.
    HAL Development: Design and implement Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) to decouple hardware-specific details from application logic.
  • OS Services Porting: Adapt and port core OS services (file systems, networking stacks, security modules) to new architectures.
  • C++ Systems Programming: Write high-performance, low-latency code in Modern C++ (C++17/20) while maintaining a minimal memory footprint.
  • Debugging & Profiling: Use JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers to solve complex race conditions and hardware-software interface bugs.

Education:  Bachelor''s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 
 
GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Dallas, TX to be $125,000 to $135,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower. GlobalLogic takes many factors into consideration in making an offer, including candidate qualifications, work experience, operational needs, travel and onsite requirements, internal peer equity, prevailing wage, responsibilities, and other market and business considerations.
