Senior Embedded Systems Engineer (Kernel & HAL Specialist)

Key Responsibilities:

• Kernel Configuration & Optimization: Customize and harden Linux/RTOS kernels for specific hardware targets.
• You’ll manage device trees, memory maps, and bootloaders.
  HAL Development: Design and implement Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL) to decouple hardware-specific details from application logic.
• OS Services Porting: Adapt and port core OS services (file systems, networking stacks, security modules) to new architectures.
• C++ Systems Programming: Write high-performance, low-latency code in Modern C++ (C++17/20) while maintaining a minimal memory footprint.
• Debugging & Profiling: Use JTAG, GDB, and logic analyzers to solve complex race conditions and hardware-software interface bugs.

Education:  Bachelor''s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field. 
 
GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed in Dallas, TX to be $125,000 to $135,000 and reflects base salary only. This pay range is provided as a good-faith estimate, and the amount offered may be higher or lower.
