Overview
As a Technical Lead / Technical Architect, you will bring working knowledge across a broad range of application and engineering patterns, tools, and frameworks to support product delivery. You’ll work closely with internal/external stakeholders and lead a pod of developers, staying hands-on with design and delivery across one or more workstreams.
Responsibilities
Lead and remain hands-on with low-level design, feature development, and delivery across workstreams; ensure engineering standards are applied and adhered to.
Manage implementation across the full project lifecycle: gather and interpret requirements, translate into technical designs, and drive execution.
Create technical specifications and lead change through development and testing phases through deployment.
Mentor junior staff and help establish strong engineering practices within the team.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Engineering/Technology preferred).
10+ years of related IT experience designing and deploying enterprise-level business or technical applications.
Strong experience across distributed/cloud technologies and their integration/configuration, including many of the following:
Cloud: AWS / Azure / Google Cloud Platform
Containerization: Kubernetes / OpenShift
Microservices, Kafka
Java / JavaScript, Quarkus / Spring
Distributed databases: Postgres / Yugabyte / RDS / Aurora
API Gateways: Apigee / MuleSoft (or similar)
UI: Angular / React / HTML / HTMX / CSS3
DevOps: CI/CD
Data formats: XML / JSON
Middleware: ESB / DataPower
Mobile: PhoneGap / iOS / Android SDKs
Experience with microservices, mobile and web app security concepts, session management, performance tuning, automated testing, high availability engineering, and database technologies for mobile/web apps.
Working knowledge of cryptography, key management, and security solutions on mobile and server side; familiarity with PKI, SSL, RSA, authentication/encryption/digital signatures.
Hands-on experience using at least one “vibe coding” tool: GitHub Copilot / Cursor / Kiro / Windsurf / Claude Code.
Strong communication/interpersonal skills; ability to build relationships and resolve issues.
Experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
Nice to Have
Knowledge of emerging technologies such as rules engines, AI / Machine Learning.
