YSI is seeking a Database Administrator. Current need is for a Database Administrator 2 to assist with migrating existing databases from one hosted platform to a new hosted platform. Someone with knowledge of moving or migrating databases, as well as systems validation after migration. Considerable working background in Microsoft SQL database administration. Architecture and troubleshooting in a working environment. Database administration and backup/recovery management. Working knowledge of backing up and restoring production databases.
This role will fill day to daily break/fix incident response on our SQL environment. Our SQL environment runs in a SQL Max platform hardware solution, dedicated for SQL performance. The SQL version we are running range from 2008 2019. We also have a small Oracle footprint, some experience in Oracle is great, but the primary focus will be SQL. Other daily tasks may include utilizing updates, restoration, and recovery if or when required.

- 5+ years managing and administering production databases.
- 5+ years troubleshooting databases and systems.
- 5+ years performing database backup, recovery, and monitoring.
- 5+ years collaborating with teams and communicating with customers.
- 5+ years managing database security, access, and permissions.
- 5+ years designing, configuring, deploying, and maintaining systems.
- 5+ years maintaining accurate project, workload, and process documentation.
