Key Responsibilities
• Perform root cause analysis of quality issues using advanced problem-solving tools such as Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Recommend and implement cost-effective, permanent corrective actions.
• Analyze quality data from internal and external indicators.
• Manage engineering changes and work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely execution.
• Conduct product evaluation tests to ensure robustness of product or process changes before full implementation.
• Serve as the point of contact for engineering quality and product-related incidents.
• Ensure delivery of third-party quality metrics.
• Analyze data and identify new opportunities for quality improvement.
• Develop and execute standardization initiatives.
• Manage cross-functional responsibilities within a lean organization.
• Plan, prioritize, set goals, and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment.
• Support meetings at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
• Establish partnerships internally and externally and influence without direct authority.
• Represent the Voice of the Customer to platform teams.
• Contribute to and drive team success by clarifying expectations and minimizing organizational hurdles.
Required Qualifications
• Experience in automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality.
• Strong experience with root cause analysis and quality problem-solving.
• Experience with quality tools such as Kepner-Tregoe, Shainin Red X, and Design of Experiments (DOE).
• Experience analyzing quality data and quality metrics.
• Experience managing engineering changes and corrective actions.
• Experience with product evaluation and validation testing.
• Strong cross-functional project management experience.
• Experience developing and executing standardization processes.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to influence and collaborate effectively without direct authority.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a technical and business environment.
Preferred Experience
• Automotive manufacturing quality experience.
• Lean organization experience.
• Experience working with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Experience supporting senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Work Environment
• Onsite in Auburn Hills, Michigan.
• Immediate availability required.
