Description
The Data Engineering & Platform Administrator plays a central role in building, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's data ecosystem. This position combines hands-on data engineering with the administration of key data platforms, ensuring reliable data pipelines, scalable infrastructure, and high-quality data models that support analytics and business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration & Automation
Manage and administer Informatica, Snowflake, and DBT environments, ensuring availability, performance, and security.
Develop automation and tooling to streamline platform operations, reduce manual effort, and improve developer productivity.
Oversee user access, configuration, environment management, and operational monitoring across all supported platforms.
Partner with infrastructure and security teams to maintain compliance and optimize resource usage.
Data Pipeline Development & Operations
Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines to support ingestion, transformation, and delivery of data across the organization.
Monitor and troubleshoot pipeline performance, ensuring timely and accurate data flow.
Implement best practices for version control, CI/CD, testing, and observability within the data pipeline ecosystem.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver reliable solutions.
Data Modeling & Analysis
Develop and maintain logical and physical data models that support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
Conduct data profiling, quality checks, and root-cause analysis to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Work closely with analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into well-structured datasets and semantic layers.
Document data structures, lineage, and transformation logic to support transparency and governance.
Qualifications
Experience administering Informatica, Snowflake, and DBT in production environments.
Strong experience in ETL/ELT development and data pipeline orchestration.
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with modern data modeling techniques (e.g., dimensional modeling, data vault, semantic modeling).
Understanding of cloud data architectures and DevOps practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
