Job Description: Senior Business Systems Analyst

Location: Washington, DC 20002
Work Mode: Onsite – 5 Days a Week
Experience: 11–15 Years
Interview: In-Person or Virtual

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, analyze, verify, and document business and system requirements.
  • Work with stakeholders and government clients to understand business needs.
  • Develop workflows, process diagrams, use cases, and system specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain requirements traceability matrices (RTMs), user guides, SOPs, and release notes.
  • Collaborate with developers and QA teams to ensure requirements are implemented correctly.
  • Support Agile/Scrum development and SDLC processes.
  • Conduct meetings, presentations, and requirement review sessions.
  • Analyze existing systems and recommend process improvements.
  • Maintain technical and user documentation using tools such as Visio and Jira.
  • Ensure application quality, security, and compliance with established standards.

Required Qualifications

  • 11–15 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
  • Experience in business process analysis, redesign, workflows, and complex logic.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Visio and Jira or similar requirements management tools.
  • Experience creating system documentation, user guides, process diagrams, and RTMs.
  • Strong analytical, communication, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Public-sector experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with web-based case management systems, user portals, or human services applications.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
