Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Cyber Security Engineer within our team . Please note that this position requires a commitment to full-time employment and is not open to contractors.
Key Responsibilities and Qualifications
Designing Secure Development Pipelines: DevOps Security Engineers set up and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, integrating security tools to automate security checks throughout the development process.
Conducting Security Assessments: They perform regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities in applications and infrastructure, ensuring that security measures are effective and up-to-date.
Implementing Security Best Practices: This role involves enforcing security best practices across the development and deployment processes, including the use of secure coding standards and vulnerability management.
Monitoring Security Incidents: DevOps Security Engineers monitor security logs and incidents, analyzing them to minimize damage and prevent future occurrences. They respond to security breaches and implement remediation strategies.
Collaboration with Development and Operations Teams: They work closely with developers, operations staff, and other stakeholders to ensure that security is integrated seamlessly into the software development lifecycle.
Ensuring Compliance: They ensure that applications and infrastructure comply with industry standards and regulations, such as GDPR, ISO 27001, and SOC 2, by implementing necessary controls and documentation.
Training and Support: Providing training and support to team members on security best practices is also a critical responsibility, fostering a culture of security awareness within the organization.
Automating Security Processes: They automate security processes using tools like SonarQube, Snyk, and OWASP ZAP, ensuring that security checks do not slow down the development process.
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the salary is $144,250.
