Kentro is hiring for Sr. Change Control Business Analyst to support Kentro's Veterans Affairs ESOM contract.
Location: This position can be performed remotely within the United States and will support Eastern Time working hours.
Compensation Range: The salary for this position is between $Min-Max/annually. Factors affecting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
ResponsibilitiesCAB Administration
- Facilitate scheduled CAB meetings (Standard, Emergency, Technical), preparing agendas, change schedules, and supporting documentation.\
- Present and review Change Requests for CAB approval, coordinating with Requestors, Technical Leads, and Business Owners to ensure readiness.
- Document and distribute CAB minutes and decisions; maintain the Forward Schedule of Change (FSC) and coordinate ECAB sessions as needed.
Change Request Tracking and Lifecycle Management
- Track Change Requests through the ITSM tool from initiation through closure, monitoring compliance with categorization, risk, implementation, and testing requirements.
- Ensure Post-Implementation Reviews are completed for significant or failed changes, maintain accurate change records, and escalate unauthorized changes.
Process Compliance and Governance
- Enforce Enterprise Change Control policies and procedures across all submitting teams and business units.
- Review Change Requests for completeness, risk, and alignment with the change freeze calendar; report non-compliance trends to the Change Process Owner.
- Support development of Change Management SOPs, training materials, and process audits.
Reporting and Metrics
- Develop and maintain Change Management dashboards and reports using ServiceNow and Performance Analytics.
- Generate recurring metrics on change volume, success/failure rates, and schedule adherence; analyze data to identify trends and improvements.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Serve as primary point of contact for Change Control inquiries, coordinating with CMDB, Incident, Problem, and Release Management teams.
- Liaise with infrastructure, application, and security teams to assess change impact and support workflow automation.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent, plus 10+ years of relevant experience; an additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for the education requirement.
- Demonstrated experience administering an Enterprise Change Management program, including direct experience facilitating CAB meetings.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with ServiceNow (Change Management module,
- Reporting/Performance Analytics, CMDB/Incident/Problem integration) and working knowledge of the Common Service Data Model (CSDM).
Process and Analytical Skills
- Strong understanding of ITIL Change Management principles across Standard, Normal, and Emergency change types.
- Ability to assess risk and urgency, track KPIs, and identify process gaps through data analysis.
Soft Skills
- Strong facilitation, communication, and organizational skills to lead CAB sessions and manage high volumes of concurrent Change Requests.
- Ability to work independently and cross-functionally, with attention to detail and assertiveness in enforcing process compliance.
Certifications
- Required: ITIL 4 Foundation (or ITIL v3 Foundation).
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working within a federal government IT environment.
Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD environments and their intersection with Change Management practices. - ITIL 4 Specialist - Plan, Implement, and Control (covers Change Enablement).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) or Certified Implementation Specialist - ITSM.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM).
