Senior Business Analyst

Location: 100% Remote

Rate: $37-$40/hr based on experience level

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale technology and business transformation initiative focused on enhancing programs and services within the Health and Human Services sector. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and leadership to gather requirements, drive process improvements, and ensure successful delivery of strategic initiatives.

The ideal candidate is highly skilled in requirements elicitation, stakeholder management, business process analysis, and project coordination, with experience supporting government-sponsored healthcare and public assistance programs.
Key Responsibilities
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional business requirements.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering sessions and validate business needs with stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain requirements documentation, process flows, and related project artifacts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project risks, issues, scope, and requirements to maintain alignment with project objectives.
  • Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, contractual requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify challenges, drive issue resolution, and mitigate risks.
  • Support operational readiness activities and ensure services are delivered within established performance metrics and service levels.
  • Prioritize competing demands and effectively manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Provide project visibility through status reporting, stakeholder communication, and documentation.
  • Contribute to proposal development, statement of work (SOW) activities, and other business planning efforts as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3+ years of experience gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing business requirements.
  • 3+ years of experience leading requirements elicitation, validation, and stakeholder workshops.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting healthcare, public sector, or Health and Human Services programs.
  • Experience working with Medicaid, SNAP, or other government-sponsored assistance programs.
  • Experience managing project controls, including requirements, scope, risks, issues, and schedules.
  • Experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage executive and operational stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to align business objectives, project execution, and stakeholder expectations.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting large-scale government technology modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with public sector procurement processes, RFP responses, and SOW development.
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational transformation efforts.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Experience working with cross-functional business, technology, and implementation teams.
