Summary

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior PL/SQL Developer with 12+ years of expertise in Oracle database development, architecture, and performance optimization. This role involves designing scalable database solutions, leading development efforts, and ensuring high-performance data processing for enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of complex PL/SQL programs (procedures, functions, packages, triggers)
Architect and optimize high-volume, high-performance database systems
Perform advanced query tuning and performance optimization
Design and implement data models, indexing strategies, and partitioning
Handle large-scale data migration, ETL, and data integration projects
Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards
Mentor junior developers and guide the team technically
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Developers, QA, DevOps, Business)
Troubleshoot critical production issues and provide quick resolutions
Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance standards
Work on database upgrades, patching, and capacity planning

Required Skills

12+ years of strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL development
Deep expertise in advanced SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning
Strong knowledge of:
- Execution plans, indexing, partitioning
- AWR, ASH, SQL Trace, TKPROF
Experience with large databases (TB-scale data)
Strong understanding of data modeling and database architecture
Experience in ETL tools and data warehousing concepts
Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux scripting
Familiarity with version control tools (Git, SVN)

Preferred Skills

Experience with Oracle Exadata / RAC
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS RDS, Azure, OCI)
Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation
Experience in banking, insurance, or enterprise systems
Agile/Scrum methodology experience

Leadership & Ownership

Act as a technical lead / SME (Subject Matter Expert)
Drive best practices and architectural decisions
Mentor and upskill team members
Participate in hiring and technical interviews

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
