IMS Technology Services is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, financial performance, and successful closeout of complex audiovisual and videoconferencing systems integration projects. This role is the primary point of accountability from sales handoff through client acceptance and transition to service.

The Senior Project Manager independently leads multiple concurrent projects, aligns internal and external stakeholders to one execution plan, maintains accurate portfolio visibility, protects scope and margin, identifies risk early, and delivers a professional client experience. The role requires strong commercial judgment, technical fluency, disciplined documentation, and the confidence to lead high-profile and mission-critical work.

Primary Accountabilities

Portfolio Leadership. Own and actively manage an annual project portfolio of approximately $5 million, balancing workload, priorities, client commitments, resource demand, cash flow, revenue timing, risk, and closeout activity.

End-to-End Project Delivery. Lead assigned projects from internal handoff and kickoff through engineering, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, training, punch list, completion notice, documentation, billing support, and final closeout.

Project Planning and Controls. Build and maintain complete project work plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, decision dates, and recovery plans. Keep project status, forecast dates, risks, blockers, and next actions current in ConnectWise.

Financial and Commercial Management. Manage budget, labor, material, subcontractor costs, committed costs, forecast-to-complete, billing milestones, change orders, and margin performance. Identify financial risk early and take corrective action with appropriate leadership support.

Scope and Change Control. Validate contract scope, proposals, drawings, bills of material, assumptions, exclusions, and client responsibilities. Document scope movement and ensure changes are priced, approved, scheduled, and communicated before execution whenever practicable.

Client and Stakeholder Leadership. Serve as the primary client contact for project delivery. Set clear expectations, provide concise status reporting, lead difficult conversations, present recommendations, document decisions, and maintain confidence through responsive and professional communication.

Cross-Functional Coordination. Coordinate Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Programming, Fabrication, Installation, Field Engineering, Service, Accounting, vendors, subcontractors, consultants, general contractors, and client teams around one accountable delivery plan.

Field Readiness and Quality. Confirm site readiness, access, logistics, material availability, labor alignment, trade coordination, safety requirements, installation quality, test plans, commissioning readiness, and turnover criteria before key milestones.

Risk, Issue, and Escalation Management. Identify design, procurement, construction, schedule, technical, contractual, and client risks early. Assign owners, establish mitigation plans, escalate with context and recommendations, and drive issues to documented resolution.

Documentation and Closeout. Maintain accurate project records, meeting notes, schedules, submittals, approvals, change documentation, punch lists, signoffs, as-built information, training records, warranties, and turnover packages. Drive timely completion, acceptance, billing, and administrative closure.

Leadership and PMO Contribution. Model IMS project management standards, support less-experienced project managers and coordinators, share lessons learned, improve repeatable processes, and contribute to portfolio reviews, resource planning, and operational improvement initiatives.

Measurement of Success

Delivers projects safely, professionally, and in alignment with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality requirements, and client expectations.

Maintains reliable project and portfolio data so leadership can forecast workload, revenue, risk, resource needs, and completion timing from current information.

Protects project profitability through disciplined planning, cost control, labor management, change management, and early corrective action.

Creates field-ready projects through complete handoffs, documented dependencies, site readiness validation, procurement visibility, and coordinated execution plans.

Communicates early and clearly, brings recommendations with escalations, and closes the loop on decisions, commitments, and outstanding actions.

Drives commissioning, punch list, documentation, customer acceptance, billing support, and closeout without unnecessary aging or unresolved ownership.

Builds durable client trust and supports future business through dependable delivery, transparency, responsiveness, and professional leadership.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of 7 years of project management experience, including substantial responsibility for commercial audiovisual systems integration, construction technology, or a closely related technical delivery environment.

Demonstrated success independently managing multiple concurrent, complex projects and an annual portfolio at or near $5 million.

Working knowledge of commercial audiovisual systems, including audio, video, collaboration, control, networked AV, rack fabrication, installation, programming, testing, commissioning, and client turnover activities.

Ability to read and reconcile proposals, contracts, scopes of work, drawings, specifications, submittals, bills of material, schedules, and change documentation.

Strong financial management capability, including project budgets, labor forecasting, cost tracking, margin protection, change orders, billing milestones, and forecast-to-complete analysis.

Proven ability to lead clients, subcontractors, vendors, field teams, and cross-functional internal stakeholders without relying solely on formal authority.

Advanced communication, negotiation, facilitation, organization, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, relevant experience, and specialized training.

Ability to travel to client and project sites and work outside standard business hours when required by project conditions or critical milestones.

Comply with IMS policies, project procedures, safety requirements, documentation standards, and client site rules.

Perform other duties and support business priorities as assigned by management.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP, CTS, CTS-I, CTS-D, or comparable project management, audiovisual, or construction credential.

Experience with new construction, renovation, enterprise deployments, higher education, corporate, healthcare, entertainment, or other complex client environments.

Experience with ConnectWise PSA or a comparable project management and business operations platform.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and schedule or Gantt-chart tools.

Experience coaching project team members and contributing to PMO standards, templates, reporting, lessons learned, and continuous improvement.
