Senior Quality Engineer (Point of Sale Systems)

We are hiring two Senior Quality Engineers to support modern Point of Sale (POS) platforms across in-store, mobile, and omnichannel environments. This role focuses on transaction accuracy, system reliability, automation leadership, and CI/CD integration for POS and retail systems.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute comprehensive testing strategies for POS and commerce workflows.
• Validate end-to-end transaction flows including cart, pricing, tax, promotions, payments, refunds, and receipts.
• Test integrations between POS systems, backend services, inventory, and order management platforms.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.
• Validate AI-enabled features such as recommendations, fraud detection, or intelligent transaction routing where applicable.
• Track, analyze, and report quality metrics and release readiness.
• Mentor QE team members and promote best practices across teams.

Requirements

Required Technical Skills

• Strong experience testing Point of Sale (POS) systems and retail transaction flows.
• Hands-on experience validating payment methods including credit and debit cards, digital wallets, gift cards, refunds, and reversals.
• Understanding of PCI-related testing considerations and secure transaction handling.
• Web Automation using Playwright for POS web and admin applications.
• API Automation using Rest Assured or similar Java-based frameworks.
• Mobile Automation using Espresso (Android) and XCUI Test (iOS).
• Experience testing POS hardware integrations such as scanners, printers, payment terminals, or kiosks.
• Familiarity with AI and ML testing concepts and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Vertex AI.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript / TypeScript.
