POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Inadev is seeking a Jr Data Engineer to design and deliver scalable, production-ready data and machine learning pipelines that transform diverse data sources into actionable insights. This role partners with business and technical teams to translate complex analytics challenges into effective solutions, applying data engineering, ETL, and exploratory analytics across mission-driven domains. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership, ensure solution quality, and engage with clients to communicate the value and outcomes of advanced analytics.

RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop code to prepare, extract, and enrich a variety of structured and unstructured data sources, working with the business to understand available resources / constraints around data.
  • Create production quality data pipelines and Machine Learning pipelines that can be deployed at scale.
  • Translate advanced business analytics problems into technical approaches that yield actionable recommendations, in diverse domains (risk management, product development, marketing research, supply chain, public policy).
  • Support leading teams in the development of client solutions utilizing analytics, exploratory data analysis, data wrangling, and ETL.
  • Provide oversight, scoping, technical assistance, and quality control over the development of analytics solutions using analytics / data wrangling tools (e.g. Python, R, SQL, SAS).
  • Perform operations to prepare data for analysis (e.g. data cleansing, data integration, data transformation).
  • Lead discussions with clients on the value proposition of analytics, analytic methodologies, and outputs of analytic solutions.
  • Develop documentation / guides for analytics usage and maintenance.

NON-TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be a US Cit.
  • Must be willing to work 100% onsite in St Louis, MO
  • Must be open and have the ability to travel as required to support customer requirements.
  • Ability to pass a 7-year background check and obtain/maintain a U.S. Government Clearance
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to prioritize and self-start.
  • Must be adaptable/flexible as priorities shift.
  • Must be enthusiastic and have passion for learning and constant improvement.
  • Must be open to collaboration, feedback and client asks.
  • Must enjoy working with a vibrant team of outgoing personalities.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Must possess a Bachelor s degree from an accredited college/university in a technical discipline.
  • Must possess at least 3 years of professional data engineering & analytics experience.
  • Must have professional hands-on experience developing end-to-end data pipelines, data warehousing, and analytics solutioning leveraging Databricks and AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, and Lambda.
  • Must have professional hands-on experience in cloud architecture (and related fields) with a focus on AWS and Databricks.
  • Must possess technical proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, SQL.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

  • Active DoD Secret clearance preferred
  • Federal government consulting experience preferred.
