Microsoft Systems Engineer

M365 Messaging / Active Directory / Azure / Engineer (5,000+ Users)

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Windows, Linux, and VMware ESXi environments


• Extensive experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy administration


• Strong expertise in VMware vSphere infrastructure management


• Very strong hands-on experience with Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 administration


• Technical depth across Exchange, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and Azure


• Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure


• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VLANs


• Strong troubleshooting and advanced problem-solving abilities across enterprise systems


• Experience supporting organizations through high-growth environments, including scaling from smaller to larger infrastructures


• M&A experience, including tenant migrations, integrations, and system consolidations


• Technological curiosity with interest or exposure to AI adoption and automation


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong team-oriented approach


• Bachelor s degree in Information Systems or related field, or equivalent experience


• Minimum of 4+ years of relevant systems engineering experience


• Experience supporting large enterprise environments (5,000+ users preferred)


• Demonstrated experience managing infrastructure projects and initiatives

What You ll Do

• Support and maintain enterprise Active Directory and identity services


• Administer Microsoft 365 and messaging systems across a large user base


• Own and optimize Exchange Online and messaging infrastructure (performance, security, reliability)


• Manage Windows Server environments and Group Policy configurations


• Support virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere / ESXi


• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, cloud, and identity-related issues


• Assist in hybrid cloud operations spanning on-prem and cloud platforms


• Support M&A activities, including migrations, tenant integrations, and environment consolidation


• Participate in infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives


• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools and automation opportunities


• Ensure performance, availability, security, and scalability of core systems
