Summary

Cybersecurity Training & Awareness Analyst III - Permanent - Salisbury, NC - $1,20,000 - $1,30,000.

The final salary or hourly wage, as applicable, paid to each candidate/applicant for this position is ultimately dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's/applicant's qualifications, skills, and level of experience as well as the geographical location of the position.

Our client is seeking a Cybersecurity Training & Awareness Analyst III in Salisbury, NC.

Role Description

The Training & Awareness Specialist supports the execution and continuous improvement of the Human Risk and Security Awareness program. This role focuses on program operations, data analysis, awareness content delivery, and cross functional coordination to reduce human centric cybersecurity risks. The Specialist identifies behavioral risk patterns, supports phishing simulations, develops targeted interventions and campaigns, maintains program metrics and documentation, and helps foster a strong security first culture across the enterprise.

Program Operations & Delivery
Support the day to day execution of Human Risk and Security Awareness program activities, including project coordination, documentation, and stakeholder communications.
Coordinate initiatives across HR, IT, Legal, Communications, Brand cybersecurity teams, and other internal partners.
Maintain standard operating procedures, evidence repositories, and documentation to support audits and compliance reviews.
Human Risk Identification, Analysis & Mitigation
Collect, analyze, and interpret human risk data such as phishing trends, training participation, and risky user behaviors.
Support root cause analysis for human related security incidents, documenting behavioral drivers and contributing factors.
Assist in designing and evaluating targeted interventions to influence secure behaviors and reduce risk exposure.
Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and reports to measure human risk trends and program effectiveness.
Phishing Simulation Program
Analyze phishing simulation results, segment users and trends, and support remediation actions to reduce susceptibility and improve reporting rates.
Security Awareness Content, Campaigns & Enablement
Develop, adapt, and maintain awareness content including emails, micro learnings, intranet articles, infographics, and short form communications aligned to risk themes.
Coordinate awareness and training delivery through enterprise platforms such as LMS, intranet, SharePoint, and Teams.
Provide operational support for the Security Champions program, including onboarding materials, engagement activities, communications, and metrics.
Translate human risk insights into updated training materials and awareness campaigns.
Track campaign performance and support A/B testing to improve engagement and effectiveness.
Governance, Compliance & Continuous Improvement
Support alignment of awareness and human risk activities with regulatory and framework requirements (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, NIS2).
Assist with program reviews, roadmap planning, reporting cycles, and operational improvements.
Contribute to the administration and maintenance of program tools and platforms.

Skills & Requirements

2-4 years of experience in cybersecurity awareness, human risk management, GRC, cybersecurity operations, communications, or a related discipline.
Working knowledge of user centric cybersecurity risks such as phishing, credential misuse, and social engineering.
Familiarity with frameworks and regulations including NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR, PCI, HIPAA, and/or NIS2.
Experience with LMS platforms, phishing simulation tools, content management systems, or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non technical audiences.
Proven analytical skills and experience working with metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams across brands and geographies.
Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.
