The Scrum Master will be responsible for providing end-to-end Agile delivery leadership for the Application, ensuring predictable, high-quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
Agile Leadership
Team Enablement
Serve as the
primary Scrum Master
for one or more Agile teams supporting Application.
Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
Coach team members on Agile and SAFe principles, fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support the adoption and maturity of Agile practices across teams and programs.
SAFe Framework Support
Operate effectively within a SAFe Agile delivery model, collaborating closely with Product Owners, RTEs, System Architects, and other Scrum Masters.
Support Program Increment (PI) planning activities, including preparation, facilitation, dependency management, and follow-up actions.
Ensure alignment between team-level execution and program-level objectives.
Impediment
Risk Management
Proactively identify, track, and remove technical and non-technical impediments that impact team delivery.
Escalate risks and dependencies in a timely manner and collaborate with Program Manager to drive resolution.
Leverage prior delivery experience to anticipate issues and mitigate delivery risks.
Azure DevOps (ADO) Configuration
Management
Configure and manage Azure DevOps Boards to support Agile and SAFe delivery, including work item types, workflows, backlogs, and Kanban boards.
Ensure a clear, well-structured backlog aligned with business priorities and program objectives.
Maintain sprint cadence, capacity planning, and work item traceability.
Sprint Planning, Tracking
Reporting
Facilitate sprint planning and execution using Azure DevOps.
Track and monitor sprint metrics such as velocity, burndown, cycle time, and throughput.
Leverage Azure DevOps Analytics and Power BI to produce regular, data-driven status and progress reports for stakeholders.
Automate reporting where feasible to improve transparency and efficiency.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Communication
Act as a key liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders, including business leads and Product Owners.
Translate business objectives into actionable delivery plans and ensure shared understanding across teams.
Provide clear, concise, and timely updates on progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.
Quality Assurance
Continuous Improvement
Collaborate with QA teams and business stakeholders to support UAT planning, execution, and feedback incorporation.
Facilitate retrospectives and ensure actionable improvements are identified, tracked, and implemented.
Promote best practices in Agile delivery, quality, and sustainable team performance.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8+ years of Scrum Master experience as a Scrum Master delivering complex software initiatives in enterprise-scale IT environments.
Demonstrated experience working within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), including PI planning and multi-team coordination.
Proven track record of successful delivery in prior client or consulting engagements.
Strong proficiency with Azure DevOps (ADO) for backlog management, prioritization, sprint execution, and reporting.
Ability to collaborate effectively with other teams, business leads, Product Owners, and RTEs.
Prior exposure to climate, sustainability, green building, or environmental initiatives is highly desirable.
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Certifications (Highly Desirable)
SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) or SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification
PMI-ACP, PMI-PBA, or CBAP
Sustainability or green-building certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL, BREEAM) are a plus
The pay range for this role is
$120000- $1300000
per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
