Senior UAT Tester Healthcare Marketplace Transition

We are seeking an experienced Tester to provide advanced testing support, guidance, and expertise to a major State-Based Healthcare Marketplace transition. In this role, you will support both Agile and traditional teams by designing, executing, and validating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure systems deliver expected business value.

• Work Arrangement: 100% Remote (Must work within the USA; Bring Your Own Device - BYOD)
• Location: Salem, Oregon (Must be available to work onsite if requested within a timeframe)
• Shift: Standard Business Hours (PST)
• Interview Process: Conducted via MS Teams (PST time zones)

Key Responsibilities

• Test Planning & Execution: Create, maintain, and execute comprehensive manual UAT test cases, scenarios, and test suites.
• Defect Management: Lead bug hunts, log highly detailed defects with replication steps, and participate in defect triage discussions.
• Requirements Traceability: Maintain and update the Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) against project user stories.
• Collaboration: Work directly with business SMEs to validate system readiness and provide testing guidance/documentation.
• Cross-Functional Testing: Conduct Regression, Integration, and API/Webservice testing, while supporting accessibility, security, and performance test activities.

Profile & Skill Requirements

Required Core Skills:

• Testing Frameworks: Strong expertise in UAT, SDLC, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Tools: 4+ years of proficient experience using Azure DevOps and JIRA for defect tracking.
• Environment: Proficient in Windows environments and Microsoft Office.
• Core Documentation: Proven experience building test strategies, test planning, and Traceability Matrices.

Preferred (Ideal) Skills:

• Domain: Prior experience in a Government or highly regulated compliance environment.
• Automation: Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Robot Framework.
• Standards: Basic understanding of WCAG (accessibility standards) and security fundamentals.

Important Compliance Notes

• Hardware: This is a BYOD position. You must provide your own adequate computer, dual monitors, high-speed internet, and phone. System access is provided securely via VPN.
• Security: A comprehensive background check is required prior to onboarding (takes ~2 weeks).
• Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the US. Offshoring or subcontracting outside the United States is strictly prohibited.
