Job description:

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Process Consultant with strong expertise in Life Insurance operations, business process transformation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-driven process optimization. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, operations leaders, and technology teams to assess current-state processes, identify improvement opportunities, and drive AI-enabled transformation initiatives across the Life Insurance value chain.

This role requires a blend of business consulting, process excellence, insurance domain expertise, and AI strategy implementation.

Key Responsibilities

Process Assessment & Transformation

  • Analyze and document current-state business processes across Life Insurance operations.
  • Identify process inefficiencies, bottlenecks, operational risks, and automation opportunities.
  • Design future-state operating models and process improvement roadmaps.
  • Lead business process reengineering (BPR) initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience.

Life Annuity Insurance Domain Consulting

  • Provide subject matter expertise across Life Insurance functions including:
  • New Business & Underwriting
  • Policy Administration
  • Claims Processing
  • Customer Service Operations
  • Policy Servicing
  • Billing & Premium Management
  • Agent/Broker Support
  • Understand regulatory and compliance requirements impacting Life Insurance operations.

AI & Intelligent Automation

  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning, NLP, and Intelligent Automation.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to design and implement AI-driven solutions.
  • Develop AI use cases and business cases aligned with operational objectives.
  • Measure and track business outcomes from AI adoption initiatives.
  • Support AI governance, risk assessment, and change management activities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Facilitate workshops, process discovery sessions, and executive presentations.
  • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to align transformation initiatives with strategic objectives.
  • Present recommendations, process maps, KPIs, and transformation roadmaps to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement

  • Establish process performance metrics and governance frameworks.
  • Drive RPA / Lean Six Sigma methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
  • Monitor post-implementation benefits realization and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Insurance, Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in RPA, Business Process Consulting, Operations Consulting, or Process Excellence.
  • 5+ years of experience within the Life Insurance industry.
  • Hands-on experience in process mapping, process redesign, and operational transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of AI, Intelligent Automation, RPA, Generative AI, and process optimization technologies.
  • Experience delivering consulting engagements with executive-level stakeholder interaction.
  • Proficiency with process modeling tools such as Visio, Signavio, ARIS, Lucidchart, or similar.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
