MUST-HAVES:
- 3-5 years of experience in a QA Engineer or Support/QA hybrid role
- Strong hands-on manual QA testing experience for applications and websites (not dev-focused)
- Heavy experience supporting and testing .NET-based applications
- Experience with regression testing, cross-browser, and multi-device testing
ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Support/Quality Assurance Engineer will split their time between providing technical support (approximately 30%) and performing quality assurance/testing tasks (70%). This dual-function role is essential for maintaining high-quality software standards and providing critical support for internal users.
CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide day-to-day technical support for existing .NET-based applications
- Investigate and resolve issues within CMS and production systems using SQL queries and code review
- Work directly with internal users to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools and Katalon Studio (nice to have)
- Review system specifications and create detailed test plans, test cases, and use cases
- Execute manual and automated tests, document results, and track defects
- Perform regression testing and post-release validation
- Log defects, bugs, and issues and assist developers with reproduction and troubleshooting
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the SDLC to ensure product quality
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 years of professional experience in QA, Support Engineering, or similar role
- Working knowledge of ASP.NET, C#, WCF, TFS, and MSSQL
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices
- Experience with manual testing and familiarity with automation concepts
- Solid SQL skills and experience working with test management tools
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills
- Comfortable working onsite and collaborating closely with technical and non-technical users
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Katalon Studio or other automation tools
- Exposure to Agile development environments
- Prior experience supporting production applications with internal users
