RDK-B Triage Engineer

Job Summary:
Senior RDK-B Triage / Broadband Software Engineer responsible for troubleshooting and resolving end-to-end issues across broadband devices and RDK broadband components, including Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, and LTE. The role involves Linux and networking troubleshooting, source-code analysis, packet capture analysis, field issue resolution, DevOps/tool development, and data analysis using AWS services. The engineer will also support anomaly detection, system monitoring, and performance optimization across millions of field devices.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across RDK broadband components, including Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, and similar access technologies.
• Perform source-code reviews in C/C++ and related platform components to identify and resolve defects.
• Diagnose issues using Linux systems, networking protocols, and packet capture analysis.
• Analyze logs and system data using tools such as ELK, Splunk, and Grafana
• Use AWS S3, Athena, and Quick Sight to analyze data from large-scale field devices.
• Work with SQL/Amazon Athena for data analysis and reporting.
• Manage and track defects using Jira.
• Use Git/GitHub for source control and collaborative development.

Education& Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Equivalent relevant technical education and professional experience may also be considered.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, broadband technology, embedded systems, RDK-B, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, and Linux.
• Experience troubleshooting broadband/access network technologies such as Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, or LTE.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and packet capture analysis.
• Experience with Bash, Python, Go, or another scripting language.
