Duration: 6 months Contract
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Fabric Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing and implementing modern data center networks. This role focuses on building and optimizing low-latency, high-performance fabrics supporting advanced workloads.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in VXLAN EVPN architectures, Cisco Nexus environments, and RoCEv2 (RDMA over Converged Ethernet), along with the ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot at scale.
This is a hands-on engineering role, not a support-only position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable spine-leaf data center fabrics using VXLAN EVPN
- Build and optimize low-latency, lossless Ethernet networks for RoCEv2 workloads
- Configure and tune DCB, PFC, and ECN to support RDMA traffic requirements
- Develop and validate underlay and overlay network designs using BGP
- Perform hands-on configuration and deployment of Cisco Nexus switches (NX-OS)
- Troubleshoot complex network issues including:
- Overlay/underlay connectivity
- Congestion and packet loss
- Latency-sensitive application performance
- Support fabric expansion, upgrades, and migrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align network architecture with application needs
- Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and implementation plans

- Strong understanding of lossless Ethernet design, including:
- Data Center Bridging (DCB)
- Priority Flow Control (PFC)
- Explicit Congestion Notification (ECN)
- Experience with BGP (underlay/overlay) and advanced routing concepts
- Demonstrated experience in network design and implementation (not just operations/support)
- Strong troubleshooting skills across L2/L3 and fabric overlays
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Cisco Nexus Dashboard (Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller / Insights)
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI (nice to have, not required)
- Experience supporting AI/ML, HPC, or storage (low-latency) workloads
- Multi-vendor experience (Arista, Juniper)
- Exposure to hybrid cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
Automation & Tooling
