Overview

• Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee electric transmission and substation projects for new business customers. This is a traditional, non-IT project management role that requires a professional capable of driving results with a high sense of urgency within a team environment. The successful candidate will manage the full lifecycle of utility-scale projects, ensuring financial targets are met and external customer relationships are maintained effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electric transmission and substation projects specifically tailored for new business clients.
• Drive project results by maintaining a strong sense of urgency and meeting critical deadlines.
• Manage project financials, demonstrating strong financial acumen to ensure projects remain within budget.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for external customers, utilizing interpersonal skills to manage expectations and communications.
• Coordinate with team members to ensure all technical and operational aspects of the utility projects are executed correctly.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation and organization throughout the assignment.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years of professional experience.
• Proven background in Project Management within a non-IT environment.
• Strong financial acumen and budget management capabilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on external customer service.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Specific experience with Electric Transmission and Substation infrastructure
• Technical degree in a related field.
• Previous experience specifically in Utility Project Management (Electric, Gas, or Solar).
• PMP Certification
