Summary

The Defense Systems Sector at Leidos currently has an opening for a Cyber Security Systems Administrator to work in our Ridgecrest, Ca. office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping with the AEWTTR mission. In this mission we provide engineering support for design, modification, and maintenance of ground radar and associated devices for the Navy's Aircrew Electronic Warfare (EW) training capability. Our organization designs, manufactures, integrates, and provides depot level support for a wide variety of EW threat simulation systems that are part of the training infrastructure that ensures our Navy Aircrews are the most effective.

This position is responsible for supporting the AEWTTR Cyber effort, including; STIGs, Scans, Patch Management, system configuration and testing.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Candidate can expect to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to support the AEWTTR program Cyber efforts.
  • Candidate will be responsible for the monthly STIG and Scanning of a wide range of Information Technology devices, including; Windows and Linux Based computers, network gear, embedded control devices, and other various computing hardware.
  • Candidate will be responsible for the generation of reports and test results that will be used as part of Navy RMF process.
  • Other duties may include addressing technical issues/problems using internal best practice and thorough collaboration with colleagues. Develop solutions to technical problems that require depth of technical knowledge. Sets objectives for own area to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments. May assist other professionals with tasks and assignments.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent and 2 - 4 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must have or be able to obtain within 90 days of hiring any Certification that qualifies under DOD 8140 IAT Level 1; such as CompTIA A+ or Network+
  • Active secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance. (U.S. Citizenship is required)
  • Must have experience with Windows 10/11
  • Must have experience with basic PC hardware assembly and troubleshooting

Preferred Qualifications:
  • In addition to the qualifications listed above, the ideal candidate should be highly organized, demonstrating the ability to work independently at times due to a fast-paced and highly productive work environment.
  • Experience with Ubuntu or other Linux systems desired.
  • Experience with Tenable Nessus desired
  • Experience with SCAP or other STIG tools desired
  • Knowledge of Navy RMF process desired
  • Experience with outlook, teams, and excel.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance.
