Golang Architect /Lead | Remote | Long term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture, design, and development of scalable applications using Golang.
• Define technical architecture, design patterns, coding standards, and engineering best practices.
• Design and develop high-performance microservices, REST APIs, and gRPC services.
• Build distributed and cloud-native systems with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Lead technical design discussions, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps, QA, and other engineering teams.
• Mentor developers and provide technical guidance on Go development and system architecture.
• Design and implement integrations with databases, messaging systems, and third-party services.
• Drive containerization and deployment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement observability, logging, monitoring, and distributed tracing solutions.
• Ensure applications follow security, reliability, scalability, and maintainability best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with strong hands-on Golang/Go expertise.
• Strong knowledge of Go concurrency, goroutines, channels, interfaces, error handling, and performance optimization.
• Extensive experience with microservices and distributed systems architecture.
• Strong experience developing RESTful APIs and gRPC services.
• Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud technologies.
• Experience with messaging/event-streaming platforms such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar.
• Strong understanding of Git, Agile methodologies, and modern software development practices.
• Excellent technical leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with AWS EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, or equivalent cloud services.
• Knowledge of service mesh, event-driven architecture, and Kubernetes operators.
• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or ELK.
• Familiarity with security standards such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, and TLS.
• Experience leading large-scale cloud-native modernization initiatives.
• Strong system-design and architecture experience.
