  • Excel Application Engineering: Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based applications, models, and add-ins using C#, .NET, VBA, and Excel add-in technologies.

  • Data Integration & Automation: Develop automation and data integrations across Excel workflows and underlying data platforms.
  • Incident Management & Continuous Improvement: Investigate production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve diagnostics, logging, and support tooling.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with investment professionals and central technology teams to identify workflow improvements, prioritize enhancements, and deliver scalable solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Strong experience developing and supporting Excel-based applications, analytical models, or front-office tooling within an investment or financial services environment.
  • Deep understanding of Excel workbook design, calculation behavior, performance optimization, and stability in complex user workflows.
  • Strong C# and .NET development skills, including experience building Excel integrations, automation, or add ins; VBA experience is helpful.
  • Experience working in a highly user-facing role, partnering with PMs, analysts, traders, or other business users.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose production issues and communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience with SQL and data integration across enterprise data platforms; Python is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Excel add-in frameworks such as Excel-DNA, Add-in Express, or similar technologies.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience supporting Excel add-ins and Office deployments in enterprise Windows environments.
  • Experience diagnosing issues with third-party Excel add-ins (e.g. Bloomberg, Visible Alpha) used in financial workflows (e.g., market data, research, and productivity tools). Familiarity with AI/Office add-ins (e.g. Claude for Office) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as Office 365, SharePoint, and Power BI.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell or Bash.
