Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Application Programmer III to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Spring Boot, Java 21, front-end frameworks, and modern DevOps practices, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality software using GenAI tools for accelerated development and testing.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, develops, enhances, tests, supports, maintains, and debugs enterprise applications and microservices.
- Provides strategic technical direction and contributes to system architecture for initiatives.
- Partners with line of business and architects to implement secure and scalable solutions.
- Builds prototypes to validate designs and prepares UML diagrams for current and future states.
- Coordinates with external programming teams to deliver on time and within budget.
- Guides project managers on technical risks and trade-offs to meet business objectives.
- Leads or estimates effort for software applications and mentors developers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency with GenAI tools and workflows, with the ability to deliver approximately 50% of work using GenAI-assisted coding, testing, and documentation.
- Developing microservices using Spring Boot and Java 21.
- Experience with container platforms such as OpenShift or similar.
- Front-end framework experience with at least one RIA framework: jQuery, Angular, or React.
- Experience with at least one ORM or persistence technology: iBatis/MyBatis, Hibernate, Kafka, or JPA.
- Source control proficiency with Bitbucket, GitHub, or similar tools.
- Build and test practices using Maven, TDD, CI, JUnit, and Mockito.
- IDE experience with Eclipse, IntelliJ, or similar tools.
- Relational database and SQL skills with Oracle, Sybase, or SQL Server.
- Agile or iterative development and full SDLC experience.
- Front-end web development with JavaScript, HTML/HTML5, CSS, Ajax, and SASS.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with AngularJS for legacy support and migration paths.
- Background in Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning integration with enterprise applications.
Role Logistics & Guidelines:
- Approved location: Plano, TX. Hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days onsite per week. Onsite day one.
- Start month: July.
- Glider assessment with ID verification required.
- Potential contract to hire. Candidates must not require sponsorship now or in the future.

- Highlight experiences from the required qualifications. For GenAI experience, describe tools used, scope, and approximate coding percentage achieved with GenAI.
- Focus on major skills used in each project and explain how they were applied. Avoid repeated content across projects.
- Maximum three submissions per vendor.
Primary/Secondary/Tertiary Skills:
- Primary: Spring Boot.
- Secondary: AngularJS.
- Tertiary: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
