Wilmington, DE (RTTO 5 Days Onsite)
We have an immediate opportunity for a Mainframe IMS and CICS professional with strong hands-on experience in COBOL development, IMS/DB, CICS transaction processing, and JCL scripting in enterprise mainframe environments. This role requires onsite presence in Wilmington, DE from Day 1 and involves supporting critical batch and online transaction processing systems running on z/OS platforms.
The ideal candidate should possess deep expertise in COBOL programming and strong understanding of IMS database technologies including IMS/DB and IMS/DC. Candidates should have solid experience working with CICS functionalities, transaction processing concepts, and programming interfaces along with the ability to develop and maintain JCL scripts for batch processing and job scheduling activities. Strong knowledge of z/OS operating systems, data management, and troubleshooting within large-scale mainframe environments is required.
To be successful in this position, one needs to have hands-on experience in system support, debugging, enhancement, and maintenance activities across enterprise mainframe applications. Basic knowledge of mainframe system administration activities such as dataset management, security concepts, and operational support will be preferred. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills along with the ability to work in a fast-paced onsite delivery environment are essential for success in this role.
