StaffRight Associates is seeking a meticulous Data Analytics Engineer to join our client''''''''s team in Toronto. This role is pivotal in architecting the data transformation layer that fuels high-stakes reporting and data science initiatives. You will be responsible for ensuring that complex datasets—specifically relating to supply chain and product information—are accurate, structured, and ready for consumer-facing applications.


Core Responsibilities

  • Data Modeling & Transformation: Architect and maintain SQL-based data models that map intricate attribution data, including ingredient and allergen details, to core transaction records.

  • Pipeline Development: Utilize Python and SQL to build robust transformation logic, preparing diverse datasets for downstream analytics and operational use.

  • Quality Assurance: Execute rigorous validation, testing, and comparative analysis to guarantee the integrity of data models and query results.

  • Cross-Functional Strategy: Partner with Business Analysts and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into scalable technical data solutions.

  • System Optimization: Develop a deep architectural understanding of data relationships to streamline integration and improve the reliability of the data warehouse.

  • Modern Tooling: Leverage modern analytics engineering frameworks (such as DBT) to manage the transformation lifecycle effectively.


Candidate Requirements

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years in Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a highly technical Data Analytics role.

  • Advanced Programming: Expert-level SQL (complex joins, window functions, and validation logic) and professional Python skills for data manipulation and scripting.

  • Modeling Expertise: Proven track record of building and maintaining data models within modern cloud data warehouse environments.

  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to troubleshoot pipeline failures and validate complex datasets with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Soft Skills: Strong communicative ability to bridge the gap between technical data infrastructure and business-centric reporting needs.
