A bit about us:
As a Project Accountant you will manage the the day-to-day accounting of construction projects. Working collaboratively with our Operations team, you will own all accounting functions as it pertains to our construction projects. A successful individual in this role will be someone who develops strong relationships, both internally and externally, completes work thoroughly and timely, and upholds budgetary financials. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, with a strong background in project accounting and a proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage all project-related financial activities, including but not limited to, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Maintain accurate records of Work in Progress (WIP) and Cost to Complete (CTC) for all ongoing projects.
3. Prepare and analyze project financial statements, identifying and explaining variances to budget.
4. Review project requisitions, ensuring all costs are captured accurately and timely.
5. Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets, financial plans, and profitability goals.
6. Monitor project expenditures, ensuring they align with project budgets and forecasts.
7. Prepare regular financial reports for senior management, providing insightful analysis and recommendations.
8. Ensure all project accounting activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
9. Assist in the development and implementation of project accounting systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the Engineering industry.
3. Proficient in WIP, CTC, Project Forecasting, and Requisitions.
4. Strong analytical skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
5. Excellent financial modeling and forecasting abilities.
6. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly strong capabilities in Excel.
8. Knowledge of project management software and accounting systems.
9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
10. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
11. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, ACCA) is a plus.
