Summary

Diesel Truck Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Truck Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel trucks to ensure optimal performance and safety.
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel trucks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Repair or replace defective parts such as engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
  • Conduct road tests to ensure repairs have been completed successfully and vehicles are operating safely.
  • Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in diesel technology preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Diesel Truck Technician or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
  • Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy parts and work in various environments.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Work Environment

This position involves working in a garage or workshop setting, often with exposure to noise, grease, and varying weather conditions. The role may require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
