Title: DevOps Engineer
Location: Newark, NJ/Remote
Duration: 9+ months Contract
As a DevOps Consultant , you will be supporting our mission of enabling developers to build applications: easier, faster, and safer. You will bring development experience, technical wisdom, and mentorship to the team. You and team are responsible for the delivery of DevOps solutions to solve business challenges. To understand business needs and organizational-wide impact, you will need to establish partnerships with teams and roles access the organization. A mindset of ownership, curiosity, and continual learning are keys to success in this evolving space.

Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
· Developing quality, secure, testable, and scalable software
· Participate in Agile ceremonies to synchronize the team members
· Collaborating with the team when facing challenges or sharing discoveries
· Engage stakeholders in technical discussions and architectural design decisions
· Outreach to business stakeholders for feature feedback
· Ensure proper fit and implementation of 3rd party products
· Identify challenges, escalate concerns, and propose solutions
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
· Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fields
· Broad knowledge of software languages, frameworks, and architecture paradigms
· Experience API design and development
· Project management capability to ensure ownership and successful delivery
· Collaboration with peers and teams across the company to leverage diverse ideas, experiences, and perspectives
· Thought leadership in DevOps & emerging industry trends
· Experience with Agile development practices and methodologies
· Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges
Technical Proficiencies:
· Languages: Python, Type/JavaScript, Shell/Scripting, HCL, Groovy
· CI/CD Orchestration: GitHub Actions, Jenkins, CloudBees
· IaC/CasC: Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
· AWS: Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, IAM
· Containers: EKS, Docker, ECS, ACA
· Observability: Splunk, Dynatrace, Cribl, OpenTelemetry
Preferred Qualifications
· Financial/Insurance industry experience
· Large-scale enterprise DevOps experience
· Familiarity with test automation
· Familiarity with security testing (SAST, SCA, DAST, etc)
